This is a result of two things: one, a bug in pkg that was recently
fixed; and two, that the 15-CURRENT package repo isn't available, yet.
The first package build for 15-CURRENT is going on right now:

Use the 14-STABLE builds for now. I'll announce when the 15-CURRENT
package repo has been deployed.

Perhaps a mismatch between your experiments with 14/15? That's what I
would suspect.
