Hey all,

We've run out of storage space on our main web server:

$ zfs list [16:19:36]
NAME USED AVAIL REFER MOUNTPOINT
zroot/packages 670G 129G 120K /pkg
zroot/packages/firewall 672K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall
zroot/packages/firewall/base 288K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/base
zroot/packages/firewall/base/sync-01 96K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/base/sync-01
zroot/packages/firewall/base/sync-02 96K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/base/sync-02
zroot/packages/firewall/pkg 288K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/pkg
zroot/packages/firewall/pkg/sync-01 96K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/pkg/sync-01
zroot/packages/firewall/pkg/sync-02 96K 129G 96K /pkg/firewall/pkg/sync-02
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-14_amd64-sync1 135G 129G 135G /pkg/hardenedbsd-14_amd64-sync1
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-14_amd64-sync2 134G 129G 134G /pkg/hardenedbsd-14_amd64-sync2
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-15_amd64-sync1 133G 129G 133G /pkg/hardenedbsd-15_amd64-sync1
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-15_amd64-sync2 133G 129G 133G /pkg/hardenedbsd-15_amd64-sync2
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-16_amd64-sync1 134G 129G 134G /pkg/hardenedbsd-16_amd64-sync1
zroot/packages/hardenedbsd-16_amd64-sync2 96K 129G 96K /pkg/hardenedbsd-16_amd64-sync2

Our package repos average around 134GB in size, and it's growing with
every single package build.

So, I plan to serve packages out of my home. I plan to perform the
migraine in the first half of November. It will most likely be over a
weekend, and I'm currently unsure which exact weekend I want to spend
time on this.

I'll keep everyone informed.

Thanks,

I have decided to postpone this until all current package builds have
completed. The main outlier here is the 15-stable package builder,
which is slow as molasses being carried 500 miles by a dehydrated
slug.

I suspect the migration will happen either in December or January.

(Note: I did receive some private emails regarding this. Thank you for
them. I will respond with thoughtful replies soon.)
