I received an email from Ste...@groups.io (a pretty active group) today, checked them Steppir site and the notice is there too.

<Aside: The Steppir group is very active with for example, one guy having pc boards for the SDA Controller made and selling for $17, a list of components needed is on their groups site>

Looks like they backed off a bit. Maybe the government shut down hurt them some and made them wake up.
