Good afternoon,

I was just wondering if anyone in the club does POTA and wouldn't mind a tag-a-long some weekend at a local park.  I'm very interested in trying POTA, but I'd appreciate the opportunity to observe an experienced activator first.  I'm in Wesley Chapel, but willing to travel a bit for the opportunity.

Thanks,

The Club has not activated a POTA site, but many members do from time to time.  We have done activations at Tampa City Parks in the past (not POTA, per POTA rules), which is typically in the spring or fall (once the humidity drops).

We do have Field Day coming up, which is like POTA on steroids, which the Club will be hosting in the City park adjacent to the Clubhouse.  We’ll be a 1E and 1A operation, and all are welcome to help setup, operate (we need at least a dozen, both SSB and CW), eat well, and catch up on past events for the year.

Drop an email if you are interested.
