An interesting video and comments from Jack W4JS
It presents a good history of ham radio and how it has changed over the past 100+ years. When I got licensed 72 years ago, it definitely was a hobby of teenagers (both boys and girls), young men, WW II and Korean War vets, etc. but it's definitely an old man's hobby now. It also shows a lot of equipment that the newbies definitely can not identify, just as there are terms and modes currently that I can't identify.
