Good morning, friends

It is with a heavy heart that I send this message that I will be
stepping down as Section Manager of the West Central Florida section
effective February 1.

Due to medical issues that have arisen, I find myself unable to fully
execute the duties of the position, and as opposed to staying on and
doing less than what a Section Manager should do, I made the hard choice
to step down.

At my request, Darrell Davis, KT4WX will be taking over the role of
Section Manager. Darrell has many years of experience in section
leadership and I know I will be leaving WCF in good hands. I have
discussed this with Mickey Baker, N4MB as well as the Field Organization
leadership in ARRL Headquarters and we are all in agreement that this is
the right thing to do.

Although my tenure as Section Manager has been brief, it has been an
honor and a privilege to lead the West Central Florida section, and I
hope to be involved again down the road.
