What is Free DV?  If you havent heard of it, it’s a way to get clear, hi-fi sound on HF using your PC and existing rig. All you need is two sound cards, one for transmit and the other for receive.

Really an amazing sounding technology - narrow band, too - 1.5kHz wide and sounds like FM with no popping and scratchy static.  When the signal is strong, it’s great! with weaker signals, you hear the packet loss, but it still sounds amazing.  Best of all, like FT8, you don't need big power and big antennas to work DX!

Lu, W4LT will present "A Taste of Free Digital Voice"  We will cover how to configure Free DV on your radio, how to adjust the bandwidth of your transmitted signal and do a quick demonstration of a Free DV QSO so you can hear the audio quality of this new digital modulation mode.
