Hello Makers, Crafters, and Creators and Happy Spring! Hacksburg has a bunch of exciting classes and events planned over the next month and we hope there is something you might enjoy!
Lynchburg Mini Maker Faire
- Time: Sunday March 24, 12-4:30 pm
- Location: Randolph College campus, 2500 Rivermont Avenue Lynchburg, VA
- Cost: Free
- Hacksburg will be attending the faire to show off members' projects and share information about our workshop. From their website, "Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects." FIRST Robotics Blacksburg Competition
- Time: March 30-31, see website for detailed schedule
- Location: Blacksburg High School, 3410 Bruin Ln, Blacksburg, VA
- Cost: Free
- Free and open to the public! Forty of the best and brightest high school robotics teams will be competing in this two day event. Come out and cheer on your favorite team or learn more about bringing FIRST Robotics Programs to your community.

Star Wars Month
- April is Star Wars month at Hacksburg, with classes and events focused on making Star Wars styled props. Awards for the best creations will be given during the May 7th meeting.
- Saturday April 6, 1-4 pm: LED Class
- Saturday April 13, 1-4 pm: Foam Armor
- Saturday April 27, 1-4 pm: Weapon Distressing
- Saturday May 4, 1-4 pm: Fabrics Class (May the Fourth be with you!)
- Tuesday May 7, 7:30-9 pm: Judging and Party

And as always, we will be holding weekly meetings every Tuesday 7:30 PM – feel free to come by for a tour! This meeting is open-to-the-public and followed by an open-to-the-public work session starting at the end of the meeting to whenever the last member leaves.
