Hello Makers, Crafters, and Creators!

Hacksburg is moving!

We will be moving out of our current workshop into a new space in the Garvin building (1872 Pratt Drive). We will still be in the CRC and and this move will give us an opportunity to clear out some clutter and reorganize our equipment. The new workshop will be composed of two spaces; one main space with woodshop, metalworking shop, storage, and other miscellaneous tools and an additional office that will house dust-sensitive equipment including the 3D printers, laser cutter, and electronics workbench. Members will maintain swipe access to the current workshop until the move is complete and a door swipe is currently being added to the new shop. More information on the layout and capabilities of the new space will be added to the Wiki as they become available.

The move must be completed by September 1st and some lesser used equipment has already been transferred. We will be spending a few weekends moving the larger equipment, the first of which is scheduled for July 27 and 28 from 1-4 . The 27th will be mostly cleanup and prep (packing boxes, clearing off shelves, etc) and the 28th will be moving larger furniture and equipment. There is a lot of equipment to be moved and any help, especially on the 28th, will be greatly appreciated.
