Identifying your node in the mesh

Sorry, another newbie question. Is there a best way of meaningfully identifying nodes in a mesh, so that members will be able to see that they're connecting to services via a particular node, say, like Area 51 or York Central, or see that Janet Smith is online?

There is not, because mesh nodes are, in theory, interchangable. It
doesn't really matter which one you're on because they all have more
or less the same content and provide the same services and access.
