Digital Zoom Issue - GW78

We recently purchased the GW7808NP NVR and are using the GW78 software.  We are learning how to use the digital zoom on our GW8936IP non-PTZ cameras.

When we do the "full screen" click, there is supposed to be a zoom window opened at bottom right to allow us to zoom in.  What we observe is that we can use the function in the desktop application only, and it is NOT working at all on the monitor directly connected to the DVR.  This appears to be a bug.  Are there options or an update to correct this?  The documentation is very limited on this function.

The behavior differs between the desktop app and the directly connected monitor and mouse.  On the desktop, when we hit the magnifier to go full screen there is a small window view at bottom right, and we do the click and hold to draw the zoom area and it zooms to that section of the screen.  That works great  On the directly connected monitor and mouse that smaller window does not appear after we go full screen, and click and hold in the main window view does nothing.  That's the bug.  These are fixed view cameras not PTZ, so this feature is needed.  P

TZ option also failed when using the directly connected monitor and does nothing at all for us in any app using these fixed view cameras as I believe that only sends commands to the camera that it can't act on, rather than sending commands to the viewing software.
