Hello GW Security Support,

Please provide what is your plan on the replacement for the Camera NVR web login page that uses Flash still? You know all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE) are all dropping FLASH by the end of this year? Your NVR's will be useless if I cannot log into them b/c the Flash components will not work. Other companies are releasing new HTML5 UI's now.

I suggest everyone go to their contact page and ask this question as if your NVR is still running flash and not HTML 5 you won't be able to access remotely after Dec 2020.

Have you gotten an answer from them? It was supposed to be by December last year when I asked over a year ago. But I understand how these compete rewrites go. Would appreciate you posting any updates you receive from them

@Dan O'Reilly, I just posted this about an hour ago. All the other threads on this no reply. Hopefully this will get noticed and we can get an answer here.

Any update on this?  I have asked this question before and not gotten an answer.  The internal POE switch on my NVR just @#$% the bed, so it may be time for me to make a decision as to whether to spend money fixing the GW Security NVR, or buying an NVR from a different manufacturer.

In response to David about POE switch.

You could just try adding a standalone POE network switch between your router and DVR. Run your patch cable from router to switch, switch to DVR, switch to cameras. The DVR will still be able to see the cameras as long as they have static IP addresses assigned. Unless the DVR switch is completely toast.

Why not just use old version of IE for logging in to NVR/DVR. You don’t have to update every one of your browsers. Plus, there are plenty of emulators that will allow you to run older software.

Have you tried downloading the software directly from GWs downloads page. There is software available there to log in to the nvr and change configurations without using a browser.

Well today that option does not work. no matter the browser you use,  OLD Classic IE, chrome, firefox, edge nothing will run flash. So web interface your screwed.

have you seen this?:

also, Flash Player doesn't just "stop working", unless you uninstall it. the "End of Support" is just to let you know it will not be supported. it should still work.

if it is installed, you should still be able to use it. try reinstalling it.
