Since Flash is no longer going to be supported on chrome as of Dec. 2020 how will I be able to check my camera system online?

Actually, I can't access mine now with any browser. It tells me Flash is outdated but it doesn't allow updates. It is requesting v11 or higher and my latest is ver is 32.

For right now (late 2019) flash can be used in chrome by enabling it in site settings. see https://www.dailydot.com/debug/how-to-enable-flash-chrome/

We will need a new Web Based Interface since after Dec 2020, browsers won't support FLASH anymore. We need a new HTML5 interface. I don't know if there will be work around for flash plugin

So does this mean my GW Security NVR System>>>GW-NVR2208E I purchased 4 years ago will not be updated to be HTML5? Will we be stuck with hardware that is only accessible through a local monitor??? Not good. Please keep us posted

@Alvin Bongolan:  I have the exact same NVR Alvin, and I use "search tools_V3.39.20171204, and can access my camera settings.

My NVR's Software is V2.3.1 20180901. However when I upgraded the software, it said error. but at least I can access the camera settings, to change stuff like H264 to H265, and other needed settings.

Also try using Opera browser, as flash works on this browser for me.  In opera go to Privacy and security/ site settings/ flash allow sites to run flash. There you can enable flash.

I have two flash install in my programs list, and they are, Adobe flash Player 10 ActiveX, and Adobe flash Player 32 PPAPI.

That should take care of your problem as our NVR's are the same.  Good luck, and I would advise all of you to move to another security company for your security needs, because from my experience, GW does not care about their customers.

Does anyone have any more information this? Is GW going to update their web interface on the NVR to support HTML5?
GW Tech support does not answer my emails.
Thanks

I have the same damn question. Also
So to all your customers who have an older unit what are we supposed to do now to access the system and view our cameras?
Today I just get this and cannot run flash at all using Chome, Firefox, Edge, or the old IE since FLASH is gone.

Please don't leave many of your old customers hanging...

You said " to all your customers who have an older unit..."    Do the newer NVR units from GW Security use something besides Flash?    They don't really post specifications on what technology they use in their products.

This is what GW support sent to me:

As you're using RealViewPro, please read the following:

The following model series have been discontinued by the manufacturer. As of August 2020 any software tools and mobile applications are no longer supported by the developers. There will be no further firmware or mobile application updates released. Any changes or interruptions in remote viewing functions are beyond our control as the developers are no longer providing solutions for these or any other issues.

52/53/54 CVI DVR series
61/62 XVR series
21/22/24 NVR series
31/32/34 NVR series

Contact our sales department to learn more about the systems currently available with upgraded features and the most current technology.

Otherwise, please try setting up BCS View, however this will require you to setup port forwarding within your router's firewall settings.

I have had mine for 4 or 5 years now.  I have asked what the best replacement model is.  It would be great if they would provide existing customers a discount on the newer models to replace our old defunct models.   I'm looking at the 7808N... it looks like it uses a web app instead of Flash.  Anybody have any experience with that one?  Thoughts?  I could also probably go to any NVR vendor at this point, since all the cameras support ONVIF.  Has anybody looked at other manufacturers for an NVR?

I have but I'm good at this point b/c I installed the  CMS3000_V2.4.1.25_build20170516.exe   which is listed on the GW Software download page. It runs locally on your computer and allows you to connect to the GW NVR unit and view the cameras and also view the recordings just like the web page interface.
I cannot access thru my phone but I never did in first place.

Alternative units I looked at that was really cheap but works:

Supposedly the Web Interface is HTML5 (no flash) and does support up to 8 IP cameras.
