gw5516npn google drive setup

I was hoping this would be a straightforward thing, but apparently it isn't setup the way I intended it to be.

What I was hoping for: 

buy google drive 50tb, have 30 days of 4k recording on 13 cameras

What actually is in the program:

Gmail updates for intrusion alerts (google drive login doesn't allow actual login, have to set up SMTP with Google which also doesn't work)

Does anyone know how I can finagle this to work, or am I better off buying a NAS?
