While trying to update the firmware, I get the error "Local User Operation in Progress, Cannot Start Upgrade".  I've tried from Internet Explorer, and from the Surveillance_Client software and neither succeed.

There is window or menu option opened on the local console which will give you this prompt when you try to update the firmware from the web interface.

Thanks.  I was having issues seeing the local console as I was not able to see output via HDMI, but I was then able to resolve that issue and can now see the local console.  I went through the wizard on the local console and was then able to update the firmware using the Surveillance Client software.

Can a firmware upgrade be done using the browser interface, or only on the local console?  I do not have any moniro or keyboard attached to my NVR, and it is located in a place that is not easy to reach.  I manage it with a web browser, and I am getting the same error when I attempt to apply a firmware update.

If you are getting the Local User Operation error then most likely the startup Wizard is opened.

On the web interface, please check under System -> General and see if "start show wizard" is enabled.

If it is, please disable it and then power cycle the NVR. You should be able to then use the web interface to update

This was my problem.  Easy fix. I was able to upload the new firmware.   Thanks.
