I'm waiting for a response from them about my GW-NVR2209e-p. I moved two years ago to a new house. I Wanted to set up the NVR and  in the process of moving  lost the sticky note that had the password on it.
I had changed it from 888888 and Admin to something that I can't remember!
So at this time the NVR is useless. It's a GW-2208e-P
Please can anyone help me on this forum? Can the unit be set to factory default passwords without actually logging on to the NVR? For instance, is there a reset button inside the NVR on the motherboard. or something else that does the same effect?
Oh, btw, the NVR was one of those that was hacked into a few years ago. I read it was a nationwide problem. One of the reasons I changed the default passwords

Kind Regards,
John Locke

GW Security asked me for the MAC address. They can use that to generate a temp password.
I sent it to them March 1st. Haven't heard back from them.
I hope I hear back from them soon.

I got my problem resolved today.
I called GW Support and after a few minutes wait on music hold, i spoke with the dispatcher. In about 3 1/2 hours, which included their lunch hour, a competent person called my on my cell and was able to generate a new password for me based on the NVR's displayed time and the MAC address. It only took 3 minutes to resolve the password issue. I advise to call them and have the dispatcher set it up for someone to call you back. The email that you send does not get a timely response.
