Dear Partners,
In an earlier message, we shared that the United States Department of
Transportation Office of Aviation Consumer Protection has asked for more information about the experiences of those of us who use service dogs while flying. One specific question raised was the
use of Open Doors Organization (also known as Open Doors or ODO) to screen service dog handlers on behalf of some airlines. Several airlines, including Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, British Airways, JetBlue, and Sun Country, contract with Open Doors to process
their forms.
If you completed a Service Animal Air Transportation Form and, as a result, were contacted by Open Doors, we need to hear from you. Please click on the link below and complete our survey.
If you have any questions, concerns, or need help completing the survey, please feel free to reach out to us by calling
386-ASAP411 (386-272-7411 or send an email to
Advoc...@gmail.com. Sharing your experience will help us all travel
more freely in the future.
