 | Today we honor the lives lost on 9/11/2001 and the courage of the first responders who selflessly answered the call to duty on that tragic day.
AMC staff responded immediately to help care for the NYPD Emergency Service Unit canines who tirelessly searched the wreckage at Ground Zero. Many of these brave dogs continued to receive treatment at our hospital in the aftermath of the attacks.
We will never forget the sacrifice and heroism of those first responders and their K9 partners. šš¾ Photos courtesy of Cynthia Otto, Michael Kidd, Mike Rieger/FEMA News Photo, Dr. Barry Kellogg, and Blake Wallis.
