Hello everyone!

I am hoping to get recommendations on outsourced Chromebook repairs.

Wisconsin Lutheran School does not have full-time IT staff, and one thing that we have found necessary is to outsource repairs on damaged (or defective) Chromebooks.

I have tried iResQ repair on an initial offer to repair 10 devices. This was fine, but a slow process and rather expensive all things considered. I am hoping perhaps others have used this or other services geared toward schools that provide this service, perhaps even WELS based or focused.

I appreciate any insights!

Thank you!!!

Our school district utilizes Xerox IT Solutions (formerly IT Savvy, formerly TRA), and we are very happy with the service they provide. We purchase our devices with them and include ChromeCare as part of the package. All repairs (including accidental and intentional damage) are covered for the term of the warranty. They send a courier twice a week to pick up repairs and drop off completed jobs. It works really well for us. I can share my contact with you, and also try to get you Oshkosh Area School District pricing on new Chromebooks/service.

Trafera, Bluum, and CDW offer similar programs, too, which might be worth looking into.

I second the usage of Xerox IT (and its extended list of old names) as WLA utilizes their ChromeCare Insurance. They have been easy to work with and a great time saver, with most repairs taking 1-2 weeks (they have even managed to repair 2 Chromebooks that somehow got run over by pickup trucks). I will note, they only come to WLA once a week for pickup/drop off, so that may be something to ask them about. They also have a $100 screen deductible for any time a touchscreen ends up being replaced (not sure about non-touchscreens), and the insurance offers a one-time 50% replacement coverage for lost/stolen/unfixable Chromebooks.

I have used Gophermods, based in Minneapolis for Chromebook and other device repairs in the past. They are reasonably priced with no contracts and have a quick repair turnaround. You can even try them out and have a device repaired for free.
