SLDR/Langtags Pre-Release Period Announcement

The release of SLDR and langtags is scheduled for this month, June 2025. As of today, the data is ready on staging and we will refrain from making any changes for the next two weeks to give you a chance to test the updated files.

In addition to updates to existing files, several new locales have been added to the SLDR, which are listed below: 

abc, adb, aix, ary, bjw, bkx, bmj, dnn, dre, dry, dty, dwz, gbm, gga, grg, haz, ikz, jml, kem, klg, lmy, lth, mjz, mln, nal, nxa, omi, raw, sce, sea, stw, tbt, tkd, wlo_Latn, wnk, xta, zin

If something does not work as expected, please let us know using the community site at https://community.software.sil.org/c/writing-systems/ or the sldr_updates channel on the SIL Language Technology Slack.  

If everything is satisfactory, we would aim to release the updated langtags and SLDR on Monday, 16 June 2025.
