Parents,

Another exciting STEM event is happening at Sagamore on next Friday May 6th - Space Day! This all-day extravaganza of space fun is being coordinated by Brian Gardiner and he can use some more help. If you have a background or interest in aeronautics, engineering, or any other space related fields then this is for you.

Here's what else is scheduled so far:

Star Lab mobile planetarium: in the gym for 4th and 5th grades (led by Fernbank Science Center)

Stomp Rocket Station: to be held outside (led by Amy Gabriel)

Space Discovery Station: in outdoor classroom (led by Brian Gardiner)

Virtual outdoor solar system: to be held in the field (led by Dave Barker)

Solar System Ambassador: Alexandra Kemp

Astronaut Ice Cream:

We also need a few volunteers to run space themed art projects, crafts, or experiments. A few ideas are listed below. If you can help with any of these or if you have any other suggestions please email Brian (kalkgrun@gmail.com)

Rocket Balloons:

We also need a photographer or two to document the day. If you want to be a part of any of the above awesome activities please email Brian (kalkgrun@gmail.com)Other ideas are also in the works.

Thanks for you help!
