Year End Gift for Garden Club Teachers and Staff

Dear Garden Club Parents,

I am very thankful that Ahren had the opportunity to participate in Garden Club this year.  Not only was it free after school care for me (!), Ahren gained so much knowledge and enthusiasm about the outdoors that he continues to share with us as we work on our own garden at home.  In addition, our after school Garden Club and other after school STEM activities are a big reason why we received STEM certification this year.

There are a number of teachers and staff led by Ms. Quinn who made Garden Club possible for our children, and I am spearheading the effort to collect monetary contributions from parents in order to thank them for their efforts.  As you know, our teachers are not paid extra to organize and lead the Garden Club and other like activities, but I believe they do it because they are phenomenal educators who love and care about our children and about their future.

Please consider donating at least $10-20 to these teachers so we can give them a really generous “thank you.”  If you cannot give that much, every last dollar adds up.  It would be super if we could get 100% participation, no matter the amount.

Otherwise, starting tomorrow (Thursday, 5/12), I will have folder in the front office with my name and “Garden Club” on it for any cash or check contributions.  I would like to have all contributions received by next Wednesday, 5/18.
