Greetings ,
I have utililized QEMU RISC-V and RISC-V GDB for debugging purposes. Could someone provide guidance on how to transition from machine mode to user mode or supervisor mode in C code? I am open to alternative methods as well, as I want to understand the impact on registers and CSRs (Control and Status Registers) when privilege levels change during debugging. Additionally, if anyone has any relevant documentation to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you read the privileged spec?


What exactly is not clear about mode switching having read that?
