Hi:

What's the status of `zmmul`? I saw it's frozen at 2021Q2 and vote at
2021Q3 from RVI's spreadsheet, but it's still version 0.1?

Thanks.

I've got to go through the topsheet today, but the spec is in the latest draft unpriv spec (section 8.3) and I *think* frozen and is ready for review.
There have been no changes since then. GCC has added support, and I need to see what else needs to be done to declare it frozen and ready for review.
That's what I'll be going through today.

Hi Allen:

Thanks for the update! Shi-Hua has sent patches for both gcc and
binutils now, so I would like to check the status, seems zmmul made
good progress and will be frozen soon :)

Kito and Shihua, to where have the zmmul patches been sent?  The gcc upstream project?

I ask to ensure that we understand where they are and where they need to be for ratification.

Thanks!

Yes, upstream binutils and gcc.

The GNU toolchain rules say it has to be frozen before we can add to mainline, but we can add to an integration branch if it isn't frozen yet.  The current verison is 0.1 which implies it isn't frozen yet.
