Hello,

I am having a difficulty simulating the design. The error message it generated was

  Error-[IOLF] Incompatible object/library File
The architecture of current VCS is 'linux 32bit', user provided
  '/home/lhome/ship2/tools/lib/libfesvr.so' is incompatible with current
architecture because it was compiled with '-m64’.
Please make sure the user provided object/library files are compiled on
compatible platform and with same mode as VCS.

I dont have VCS 64 in my machine so is this the problem ? if so why is libfesvr.so only compatible with 64-bit. What other options do i have to generate a 32-bit libfesvr.so and make the simulation work.

Regards,
Kanumuri Srujana.

Sounds like a problem to me.  Might be worth opening a support case with Synopsys.  I expect they'll just say you can't run a 64-bit SO on a 32bit VCS installation.  That's a shame because the 32bit VCS can be quicker than 64bit.  Is there a way of creating a 32bit version of the SO?
