Hi Infrastructure team,

Ben has kindly invited Dustin and me (Apple Root Program) to tomorrow's Infrastructure Working Group meeting.

During the call, we would like to get your buy-in on a proposal to add the public CAB Forum Google Groups to The Mail Archive (www.mail-archive.com).

Currently, monitoring ballots and proceedings in real-time is difficult via the Google Groups web interface or email inboxes. The Mail Archive provides a clean, searchable interface that enables automation via RSS feeds and agent-friendly, structured archives.

Between tomorrow's meeting and next month's call, we would like to pilot this setup with the CCADB public list (pub...@ccadb.org / groups.google.com/a/ccadb.org/g/public) in coordination with Ben and the CCADB Steering Committee.

If that pilot is successful, and with this group's support, we would like to implement the same setup for the public CAB Forum groups.

I would like to express my support for this initiative. The Mail Archive is part of how Let's Encrypt's compliance rotation monitors lists for discussions we need to review, and it is very useful for that purpose. It would be great for it to expand to cover the public cabforum.org lists.

I will note that pub...@ccadb.org is already covered by The Mail Archive, so I'm not sure what additional setup they intend to pilot with that list.

This seems do-able, fairly easily indeed. I believe there’s even options to import all historic posts, if we deem that useful.
