Hi folks

New release!

Happy to announce we have released IF v0.7.1.

You can update your IF now using

npm i -g @grnsft/if

It's packed full of updates, including:

- improved debugging logs
- separation of time and component aggregation
- inline arithmetic
- append feature
- mapping feature for renaming parameters

And much more. See the changelog here.

We've also updated the IF plugin interface. Now we use a factory pattern that's far easier to handle than the original model.

I've also been hard at work building manifests for the Impact Framework. This includes capturing the SCI score for our GSF website and an attempt at a pseudo-LCA for the IF project as a whole, including scope 3 emissions. You can check them out here - please help me improve them and call out my mistakes!

Notices

While we haven't shipped any breaking changes, we have got some new best-practises to make better use of the latest features. There's no need to rush to update your plugins, but it would be a good idea to go through the new plugin builders guide and do some minor refactoring of your plugins to conform to the new standards. They are designed to make it much easier to build and maintain IF plugins.

There was a bug in the v0.7.0 release, so please make sure you update to the patched 0.7.1 or you will have issues finding if-run!

Apologies for skipping office hours this week - we'll be back to normal next week.

Cheers everyone!

Joseph
