Good Afternoon!

This week, we enter Advent, a season of hope and preparation. As a school community, may we pause, reflect, and ready our hearts for the joy of Christmas.

Catholic High School Entrance Exam

Please keep our 8th grade students in your prayers as they take their Catholic high school entrance exams on Saturday.

Teacher Christmas Bonus Fund

The Christmas Bonus Fund is now open! Our dedicated teachers and staff consistently go above and beyond expectations, and your generosity can make their holidays even merrier and brighter. Please consider donating to the Teachers' Christmas Fund by Friday, December 12 at noon. Bonus Fund

Christmas Shopping

What are elves' favorite types of photos? Elfies! The Saint Andrew elves have been working hard to create a winter shopping experience for our students. Christmas Shopping Days will take place on December 11 and 12.  This is an opportunity for students in K-8 to purchase small gifts for their loved ones. More information and permission forms are attached.

Saint Andrew Early Learners- Preschool Preparatory Class

Give your little one a gentle, confident start to school with our Saint Andrew Early Learners program! This warm and welcoming class, led by the beloved Mrs. Loomos, meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00–9:30am, January 20–March 13. Children (age 2 by September 1) explore fun weekly themes: winter, Groundhog Day, colors, shapes, and more, while parents/caregivers stay to connect and learn alongside them. More information and registration can be found here: SA Early Learners

Biddy Basketball Registration

It’s basketball season, and we’re ready to tip off another exciting year of Saint Andrew’s Biddy Basketball! Our PreK–3rd grade players will hit the court starting Sunday, January 4, 2026. Registration opens Sunday, December 7 at 2:00pm, so mark your calendars! Sign up and learn more about the program at: www.standrew.org/biddy

Coming this Weekend!

Being a hard-boiled detective in the Nursery Rhyme Unit isn’t all it’s cracked up to be! So when Humpty Dumpty comes in scrambled and shell-shocked from a fall, it’s up to a team of punny detectives to interview all the unusual suspects and wacky witnesses like the five little monkeys, a fiddling cat, an old woman in a shoe, and so many more.  Can the team of detectives figure out whodunit?  Come find out this Saturday in the auditorium at 6:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm. Hard Boiled: A Nursery Crime, presented by the Saint Andrew Players runs about 60 minutes and is fun for the whole family.

Baby Bulldogs

Our Baby Bulldogs program is gearing up for a fun and energetic spring session! Beginning January 22 through April 30, families with infants and toddlers are invited to join us every Thursday from 9:00–9:45am for a morning of connection and play. Each class includes free play followed by joyful music and movement that little ones love. We meet in the Saint Andrew School Gymnasium, located at the northeast corner of Addison and Paulina. Registration is now open.  Come be part of the fun with our littlest Bulldogs!

Immaculate Conception Mass

We will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Monday, December 8. There will be no school mass on Wednesday.

Tour-Please Share

Our upcoming School Tour is Tuesday, December 9, at 9:00am. This is a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to explore our campus, meet our dedicated faculty, and see firsthand the engaging learning environments we offer. We look forward to welcoming new faces and sharing what makes our school a special place for students to grow and thrive. Schedule a Tour

Wearin’ the Green Kick-off Meeting

Want to be part of the team that throws our parish's biggest and best party of the year? We're gearing up for an incredible event, and we need your energy, ideas, and enthusiasm to make it happen! Join us for the WTG Kick-Off Meeting in the social hall of the Hermitage Building on Thursday, December 11 at 7pm to learn all about the opportunities to get involved.

Lice is Not Nice

As a follow-up to Ms. Olson’s email earlier this week, please continue to stay vigilant in checking your child’s head at home. We also encourage families to keep long hair tied back and to remind students not to share hats, coats, headphones, or other personal items. By working together and staying proactive, we can help reduce the number of cases in our school community.

Save the Date!

The Super School Sunday Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Sunday, January 25. We are currently looking for a co-chair to help make this beloved event a success. If you’re an organized, enthusiastic planner who’s willing to lend a hand, we’d love to have you on the team!

Performances

The next two weeks are full of performances.  Should your child have a performance that you would like for their sibling to attend, please send the sibling’s teacher an email.  Siblings should be picked up and signed out of the front office by a parent 15 minutes prior to the performance and should be returned to the front office by a parent to sign back in.
