Happy Friday! Our students and teachers have been working hard this week.
Weather
Yay! The short-term forecast is calling for milder temperatures, and we hope to get our students outside to enjoy the fresh air. Please remember to send your child to school with their coat, boots, hat, and gloves, all clearly labeled.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our book fair is February 11 and 12. K–8 students will visit the fair with their classes during the school day. The fair will also be open to Baby Bulldog, ECE families, and parents after school on Wednesday and during the Pizza Party on Thursday. Proceeds earn Scholastic credit for our school, supporting our library and classroom resources. More information can be found here. The Scholastic Book Fair is also a fun spot to volunteer.
School Assembly
We are excited to welcome our guest speaker, Matt Wilhelm, next week. This assembly combines impressive bike tricks with meaningful lessons on character and leadership. Through a positive and empowering approach to bully prevention, Mr. Wilhelm emphasizes kindness, confidence, and the impact one person can make. Students will leave inspired to stand up for others, stand up for themselves, and be everyday heroes.
Kiss and Go Parking
Kiss and Go is designed to provide a safe and efficient drop-off for our students. When vehicles park in the Kiss and Go lanes, it creates a safety concern for children entering the building. We have recently noticed an increase in cars parking in these lanes. Please note that parking is not permitted within the school perimeter. If you need to park or idle for a few minutes, we kindly ask that you park outside the perimeter or use the school lot located just east of the gym. We appreciate your help in reminding all caregivers of this important safety guideline. Keeping our students safe is a shared responsibility.
Why are the 8th graders hosting a pizza party? Because they want to make some dough! Come support the class of 2026 by coming to the pizza party on Thursday. The party starts at noon (early dismissal for conferences). Jet’s Pizza is generously donating 100% of the pizza. All proceeds go to offset the cost of the 8th grade dinner dance in May. Orders are due February 9.
Tour — Please Share
We are excited to welcome prospective families to our upcoming School Tour on Tuesday, February 10, at 9:00am. This is a great opportunity for your friends and neighbors to explore our campus, meet our dedicated faculty, and experience the engaging learning environment that makes our school such a special place. We look forward to meeting new families and sharing how our students learn, grow, and thrive. Schedule a tour here.
Basketball
We are pleased to offer many athletic opportunities for our students, including basketball. Participating in school sports helps students build healthy habits, confidence, and strong teamwork skills. As our basketball season comes to a close and playoff season begins, we are proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all of our teams. A big thank you to the students, parents, coaches, volunteers, our sports council, and Mr. Pope for all of the work that made this season a memorable one.
Early Dismissal
Don’t forget, we have a noon dismissal on Thursday, February 12. There is no extended day this day.
Valentine’s Day
We love our students! Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on Friday, February 13. Students may come out of uniform in favor of red.
