Happy Friday! Our students have been hard at work this week. As we move into the next few months, the heart of the school year, our classrooms will be filled with focused learning, growth, and academic challenge.

Da Bears!
A special thank you to our students and teachers for creating a video wishing the Bears good luck this weekend. We’ve heard a rumor that ABC7 might be picking it up this evening, so stay tuned!

Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week is right around the corner.  We love celebrating what makes us special. Please see the attached list of planned activities.

Super School Social, January 24

We look forward to welcoming our ECE and prospective parents on January 24. This fun, parent-only event, hosted by SAPO and our Kindergarten families, will be held at Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro from 6:00–9:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow parents and get to know the Saint Andrew community.

Super School Sunday, January 25

Super School Sunday marks the start of Catholic Schools Week, and we look forward to celebrating alongside our Saint Andrew families and friends. The morning will begin with Mass at 9:00 a.m., followed by a pancake breakfast in the gym. At 10:30 a.m., we will welcome prospective families for school tours, while current families are invited to attend our open house. Be sure to purchase your pancake breakfast tickets, and please help us spread the word by inviting friends and neighbors to join us for Mass, breakfast, and a tour. We are proud to share all that makes Saint Andrew so special!

New Student Applications

Applications for new students for the 26-27 school year are now open. Please let your friends and neighbors know. Do you have a younger child at home? Do not forget to submit their application!

A New Look!

We’re excited to share our newly redesigned website with you! Please take a moment to visit gosaintandrew.com and explore the fresh new look. We hope you love the makeover as much as we do! With our new website integration, some calendars may need to be resubscribed to our new URL. Our apologies for this inconvenience.

Clothing Drive

Our 2nd graders will be volunteering at Cradles to Crayons during Catholic Schools Week, and they are collecting gently used children's clothing. The collection will take place upon arrival from Tuesday, January 20- Friday, January 23. Student Council members will be in the main hallway to collect the items. Thank you for your support!

Baby Bulldogs

Looking for something to do with your little one during the tough days of winter? Beginning January 22 through April 30, families with infants and toddlers are invited to join us for Baby Bulldogs every Thursday from 9:00–9:45am for a morning of connection and play. Each class includes free play followed by joyful music and movement that little ones love. We meet in the Saint Andrew School Gymnasium, located at the northeast corner of Addison and Paulina. Registration is now open.

Save the Date

We look forward to welcoming our 4th, 6th and 8th grade families for Science Night on February 19.  5th and 7th grade will take their turn with History Fair on March 12.

Parent Teacher Conferences

We will have a noon dismissal on February 12th in favor of optional Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers with a concern to share will be in contact with you. Should you wish to speak with a teacher, please drop them a note. There will be no extended day on February 12th.

MLK Day

Don’t forget, there will be no school on Monday, January 19, as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We take this time to reflect on his work for justice, equality, and service to others, and the values he championed that continue to inspire us today.

Celebrating Sunday

Here is a great conversation starter on your way to or from Mass: Celebrating Sunday.  Thank you, Fr. Hank!
