Hello and happy Friday!

It has been a wonderful week at Saint Andrew School as we celebrated all that makes Catholic education special. Saint Andrew is a place where academics, faith, and values come together to form not only strong students, but also kind, confident, and compassionate people.

This year’s theme, United in Faith, truly came to life through the many events that brought our community together. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers of the Super School Social, our pancake breakfast outgoing chairs (the Amborski and Massucci families), our students who graciously served, and the Catholic Schools Week Committee for their dedication in planning such a meaningful week. From the Penny Challenge and Dress Like a Teacher Day to learning about vocations, the 8th Grade Saint presentations, and the always exciting Great Car Race, it has been a week full of faith, learning, and joy.

Spirit Day in the Gym

We will close out our Catholic Schools Week celebration with Spirit Day, cheering on our 8th graders at their last home basketball game on Saturday. Let’s show our school spirit and support them as they take the court one last time! The 8th grade girls play at 11am, and the boys play at noon. Wear your blue and gold!

Penny Challenge

Our students can change the world! Through the generosity of our families, our penny challenge raised over $3600! These funds will help support the education of Zaituni through her college years.

Don’t Forget

There are no classes on Friday, February 6. This is a professional development day for teachers. Saint Andrew will host a basketball camp for grades K-8 on this day from 8:30am-2:30pm. Register here

Pizza Party

We have a noon dismissal on Thursday, February 12.  The 8th grade students will be hosting a pizza party in the gym immediately following dismissal. Students and their families are invited to support the 8th grade by buying a slice of pizza.  Jets’ Pizza kindly donates 100% of the pizza.  All proceeds help the class of 2026’s cost of their dinner dance in May. The link to order will be available next week.

Early Learners

Saint Andrew Early Learners is a gentle transition to the classroom environment that builds confidence and prepares children for preschool. Registration for the winter session is open.

Book Fair

Mark your calendars!  The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Saint Andrew School on February 11 and 12.  This event will give students an opportunity to shop for books that interest them. Saint Andrew receives Scholastic credits from this fair that helps keep our library and classrooms stocked with books and supplies. More details to come.

Uniforms

Next week, we will return to our regular uniform routine. As a reminder, Ugg boots, skirts shorter than fingertip length, and non-Saint Andrew sweatshirts are not permitted. To help ensure a smooth and distraction-free school day, we kindly ask for your support in reinforcing these guidelines at home. Thank you for your partnership in maintaining our dress code and keeping the focus on learning!

Re-registration for the 26/27  School Year

Catholic Schools Week kicks off our re-registration for the 26/27 school year. Please know that we will bill your FACTS Account $260 for the first child on February 10, on March 10 for the second child and on April 10 for the third and fourth children. If you have a child at home that you intend to send to Saint Andrew, please contact Anne Japsen at annej...@gosaintandrew.com. Should you have a family member, friend or neighbor searching for a quality school with Blue Ribbon credentials, please invite them to our tour on February 10.

Wearin’ the Green

Find something green and book your sitter.  Our Parish’s largest party, Wearin’ the Green, is Saturday, March 7. Early bird tickets are on sale until January 31st at midnight.  www.WearinTheGreen.com.
