Save the Date
Lakeview-Roscoe Village’s 18th annual Shop for Schools Fundraiser is October 8–10. This three-day event directly benefits local schools. When you shop at participating businesses across Lakeview and Roscoe Village, 15% of your purchase will be donated to Saint Andrew School. Plus, the Chamber will award up to $6,000 in bonus donations to the top six schools with the most participation. Let’s make sure Saint Andrew is one of them! All proceeds will support the Class of 2026. Stay tuned for special Saint Andrew family and friend events- details coming soon!
iReady Scores
This fall, all students in K-8 completed the i-Ready benchmark assessment in reading and math. These scores give teachers a snapshot of your child’s learning, showing both strengths and areas for growth. The results are not a grade, but rather a tool to help guide instruction and ensure each student gets the support and challenge they need. We will send scores home with our students on Friday, October 3. Should you prefer to pick up your child’s score in person, please drop me an email.
Don’t Forget
Picture day for ECE- 4th grade students is Wednesday, October 1. Students in grades 5-8 will have their turn on Thursday, October 2. Students may come out of uniform for picture day.
Catholic High School Fair
On Tuesday, October 7 at 8:30am, Saint Andrew will host many of the local Catholic High Schools in the gymnasium. This is a great opportunity for our students in grades 6-8 to familiarize themselves with the Catholic schools in the area. Parents are welcome!
Rosary
The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is October 7. The prayers of the Rosary help us slow down, focus, and open our hearts to God. On Wednesday, October 1 at 8:30am, our students will gather in the church to pray the rosary. Please join us. Students will not attend Mass this day.
Playdate
Enjoy a playdate in the park. On Sunday, October 5 from 10am-12pm come and connect with fellow Saint Andrew families at Hamlin Park. Don’t forget to wear your Saint Andrew spirit wear!
Blessing of the Pets
In honor of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, we invite you to join us for our annual Blessing of the Pets on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Bring your dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, or any beloved pet to the church steps to receive a special blessing. Together, we celebrate the joy our pets bring and our call to care for all of God’s creation.
