Hi guys,
There were some very rare occurrence were people were unknowingly (although there is a huge warning when you start Maya and open a scene) running a PLE license, and contaminated their scenes with watermarks.
I was wondering if we were aware of all these kind of cases, or if some people were just restarting the scene from scratch and not reporting it to us?
Did that ever happen to you?
In case you are bothered by Golaem switching to PLE when you have no license (expired, taken by another colleague, or whatever), there is a way to remove it:
Go to your Golaem installation directory, and navigate to the plug-ins directory
It contains a golaem_demo.lic file.
Just change the extension of this file (for example rename it to golaem_demo.bak) and Golaem will never switch to PLE.
Note that if you install a newer version of Golaem, you need to do it again in the new installation. So maybe it is a good idea to ask your IT to add this to their installation procedure if you never want to use a PLE.
Cheers,
Alex
