I am setting up things so I can render through Vray & 3DS Max but when I install the plugin I am getting this error seen it the photo. I have setup the environment variable and am starting Max using a bat file. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Hi there,

I'll need more info here: which version of vrayGolaem you installed, which version of VRay for Max you're using, can you show how does your .bat file looks like ?

Best,

Just in case, i'll suggest to check the Supported Versions chapter in the tutorial: http://golaem.com/content/doc/golaem-crowd-documentation-5/rendering-v-ray

Hope that helps,

Sure thing! Currently using 3dsmax 2016/Maya 2016.
Vray Maya = 3.10
Vray 3dsmax = 3.20.03

I couldn't find this plugin in the folder once extracted - vray_glmCrowdVRayPlugin.dll

Below is my .bat file -
:: Set Environment Variables
set PATH=C:\Golaem\GolaemCrowd-4.3.2-Maya2016\bin;%PATH%
set VRAY30_RT_FOR_3DSMAX2016_PLUGINS_x64=C:\Golaem\GolaemCrowd-4.3.2-Maya2016\procedurals;%VRAY30_RT_FOR_3DSMAX2016_PLUGINS_x64%
:: Launch 3ds Max
"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2016\3dsmax.exe"

Do I still need to point my variable to Maya 2015? I remember that was needed previously...

v0.4 only supports 3.30 as a lot of fixes as been made in VRay for Max to support it properly.
Any chance you could update to 3.30 ?

That looks perfectly good :)
I'm pretty sure the issue is just the version of VRay for 3dsmax installed :)
