Be a part of choosing the book for the 2017 One Read program. Just ahead, voting will be opened to the public to choose between two finalist titles for One Read 2017. The reading panel has been hard at work, making their way through this year’s nominated titles to select two to present to the public for vote. Votes can be submitted at oneread.dbrl.org or any library branch or on the bookmobile beginning April 10.

Small Request Funding

Small Request funds for FY17 have been depleted. However, new funds are expected to be available after the city budget for FY18 has been approved by city council. Proposed events/activities must take place after October 1, and preferably after October 9 when the Commission will consider applications received by the due date. Small Request applications for FY18 must be submitted to the OCA no later than two months prior to the project’s start date (i.e., if your project begins on October 13, your application must be received by August 13). Go to http://www.como.gov/arts/funding-opportunities/small-request-funding/ for the guidelines and application form.
