West Central Columbia Neighborhood Draft Plan Recommendations Feedback Sessions Scheduled

COLUMBIA, MO (April 9, 2015) - Residents, neighbors, and other other interested parties are hard at work on a neighborhood plan for the West Central Area of Columbia, bounded by Broadway on the south, McBaine and Sexton on the east, Business Loop 70 on the north, and Stadium on the west. A draft of the plan recommendations will be released at two feedback sessions in the coming weeks.

The program will be the same at both meetings so neighbors are encouraged to attend whichever meeting is most convenient for them:

Meeting 1

SaturdayApril 25: Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Meeting 2

ThursdayApril 30: City Hall Conference Room 1A/1B, 701 E. Broadway, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Participants will review and provide input on draft plan recommendations. An organized program will be held including time to review poster boards describing the recommendations and strategies, followed by a formal presentation including public feedback and a question and answer session.

For those unable to attend either meeting, input can be provided directly to city planners by calling 573.874.7682. For more information, please go to www.gocolumbiamo.com and search “neighborhood planning”.
