The City of Columbia will be hosting a public informational meeting regarding its Community Land Trust (CLT) efforts on Monday, March 7 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Community partners and the general public are encouraged to attend.

CLTs are being implemented nationwide as a measure to protect long-term housing affordability and public investments in affordable housing. The event will feature an educational presentation and Q&A session with Michael Brown of Burlington Associates.  Michael Brown and and his organization have played a role in implementing CLT organizations across the nation for over 30 years. One of the fasted growing mechanisms to provide and maintain long-term affordable housing, there are currently CLTs in 46 states. Read further here.
