The Commission on Cultural Affairs will meet on Monday, August 11, at 4:15 p.m. in the community room of the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence Road. The meeting agenda can be viewed at:


Annual Arts Funding Process Update:

The Commission’s work on our annual arts funding process will be presented to City Council for their consideration on Monday, August 18 as part of a public hearing on the city’s upcoming budget. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is in the Council Chambers on the first floor of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. The presentation will include an opportunity for public comment. Applicants are not required to attend but may do so, as it is an open meeting. Final approval of the funding recommendations will not occur until late September. If council approves the funding recommendations, contracts will be authorized after October 1 and then sent to funded agencies by October 31. Contracts and revised paperwork will be due by December 15.
