Commemorative Poster Unveiled

Congratulations go to Deb Roberts whose fiber art titled Cooper’s Landing has been unveiled as the 2014 Columbia Commemorative Poster. The work was selected from 87 images submitted by 17 Missouri artists through a jury process. A native Missourian and Columbia resident, Deb studied art at Central College in Pella Iowa, Missouri Western College in St. Joseph Missouri, and the Kansas City Art Institute. Deb has worked as a photographer and graphic designer, and currently devotes her free time to creating artwork. Her artwork, a brightly colored quilt, was inspired by a place in Boone County along the Missouri River known as Cooper’s Landing. The 2014 Columbia Commemorative Poster can be purchased at Deck the Walls in the Columbia Mall or at the city’s OCA, 300 S. Providence Road.
