The Commission on Cultural Affairs will meet on February 8, 2016, at 4:15 p.m. in the community room of the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence Road.

Annual Arts Funding Process 

OCA is transitioning to an online funding application system, so there are quite a few changes this year. All information regarding the funding process and instructions on how to logon and access the online funding application is found on our website, www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts under Funding Opportunities, click on "Annual Funding." View guidelines for Education, Presentation, or combined Education and Presentation projects. If you have questions about a program idea or any aspect of the funding process, please contact staff. There will be two annual funding workshops this month, on Feb. 8 and Feb. 25 at 5:15pm in the Walton Building Community Room. Representatives from arts organizations who are planning to apply for annual funding are strongly encouraged to attend. 

 

Artist Opportunities

·   Traffic Box Art…Open to artists residing in mid-Missouri; $1,500 honorarium, plus cost of materials; postmark or online submission deadline February 26. See www.gocolumbiamo.com/Arts/ for the prospectus and design template.

·   Commemorative Poster…Open to artists residing in Mid-Missouri; $1,500 honorarium; postmark or online submission deadline March 25. Application www.gocolumbiamo.com/Arts/for guidelines and application form.

 

Be an Arts Advocate!

Join arts enthusiasts from around the state for the annual “Citizens for the Arts Day at the Legislature” on Wednesday, February 10, in Jefferson City, and help advocate for state support of the arts.  OCA will provide transportation and lunch; if interested, contact OCA staff.
