We released an update to Globus Connect Server today.
Globus Streams
This release introduces support for Globus data streaming, allowing applications to stream data securely across wide area networks (WANs). Key features include
Well-established mechanisms are leveraged for secure wide area network connections used in Globus data transfer.
Globus Connect Server security configuration (authentication and authorization policies) is applied to streaming capabilities, providing a consistent security model.
Provides authenticated, bidirectional data streaming across WAN without requiring pre-deployed keys (e.g., SSH keys).
The entire tunnel route is authenticated, securing each leg of the connection. End-to-end encryption is left to the users' applications.
Globus provides tooling for minimal to no code change in the applications that stream data.

GPG signing key update
We have updated the GPG signing key for all package repositories to GPG-KEY-Globus-2024, retiring GPG-KEY-Globus.
The new key is already installed on systems that have updated within the past year. If the new key is not installed on your system, you will encounter a GPG signature error when attempting to update packages. To resolve this, install the latest globus-repo package: (rpm) (deb). See the upgrade documentation for more information.
