Hi all,

We released updates today to Globus Connect Server, Globus Connect Personal, Transfer, Compute, and Flows.

HIGHLIGHTS

S3 Connector

• S3 Glacier support: Added support for automatically restoring objects from Glacier before transferring from S3.
• Storage class support: Added support for setting the storage class on objects transferred to S3.

Globus Flows

• As previously announced, any access to Globus Flows runs granted by roles on the flow will be removed when the flow is deleted. Runs of deleted flows will still be visible to run owners and to users that the run owner has granted visibility.

Hi,

 

I have a user who’s account has Duo activated but it should not be.

 

How do we remove Duo from the account?  They cannot login, so that is not an option. API is our only option?

Hi Mark,

I’m a little confused: Globus should never call Duo itself.  Instead, it calls out to your institution’s Identity Provider (IdP).  The request to the IdP can include a note to require MFA, but the final decision on what to do is left to the IdP.

So my guess is that you would need to talk to UW Madison IT, to see if they can deactivate Duo for your user.
