New Timers support in Globus CLI and deprecation of standalone Timer CLI

We’re pleased to announce that the Globus CLI and Globus Python SDK now fully support the Globus Timers service. To learn more about how to use Timers with these tools, you can find details in the Globus CLI documentation as well as the Globus Python SDK Timers service documentation.

As Timers support has now been promoted into the Globus Python SDK and CLI, the standalone Timer CLI is deprecated. We will continue to support the old Timer CLI with security and compatibility updates through November 1, 2023.

We’ve created a migration guide with helpful information for converting Timer CLI commands to the Globus CLI equivalents.
