Hi Abhi,
As others already pointed out, in order to be able to share (== create guest collections), the underlying endpoint must be tagged with a subscription. This applies both to big multi-user Globus Connect Server instances and to individual Globus Connect Personal instances, like yours.
So your options are either of:
- Make your personal endpoint subscribed, then you will be able to create a share and your collaborators would then "push" to you (the way you intended)
- If the collaborator has a subscription on their side, there's always a reverse option: ask them to create a share - and then "pull" from them.
Note also that if your end goal is to transfer data to an HPC cluster or some centralized storage, chances are that filesystem may already have a subscribed endpoint - so you may be able to skip the "download to my PC" step and create your share right there. I have followed up in your ticket with some more details.
