collection and group issue

I have a collection (LightningBug Data Repository) to which a group (LightningBug) has read access.  A member just added (cfa...@oeb.harvard.edu) has status Active on the group page Members tab.  Nonetheless when he looks at the filemanager page, he sees:

Permission Denied

You do not have permission to access this endpoint.

No effective ALC rules on the endpoint LightningBug Data Repository (ungainly but correct secret code)

Any ideas what I am missing?

I’m finding that there are two Globus IDs associated with that person.  Checking to see if it is the other one that matters here.

It may well be that the other Identity would be what is needed. However, more info would be needed to make sure. It sounds like there may be a need to open up a support ticket with Globus on this so we will be more freely able to share specifics while not releasing identity details.

Got positive feedback from the group member when I added the alternate identity.  I think the problem is now solved.  If it takes a turn to the dark side, I’ll reach out to support as you suggest.
