Hello,

I have been trying to download some files from a shared collection. I downloaded globus personal and the endpoint on my laptop is connected. The folder structure is recreated on my laptop but the files are not downloaded. I can download single files by using the "download" option but I cannot use the trasfer function. I am attaching below the error log I get.

Thank you very much!

Laura

Hello!

I’m not Globus Support, but I do know about a troubleshooting guide that might help you!

It’s good to know the “Download” button works, it means the other side of the transfer is probably fine.

Have a look at https://docs.globus.org/globus-connect-personal/troubleshooting-guide.  This is a troubleshooting guide for Globus Connect Personal.  I suggest looking at Section 4.4, "GCP Network Troubleshooting”.  They have some steps you can follow to identify the exact location of the problem.  Also, Appendix A tells you how to collect logs.

Once you have those test results, Globus Support (sup...@globus.org) can help!

Hi, Laura.

Appending to Karl's information; we also have documentation on
recommended firewall policy for Globus Connect Personal (GCP):

https://docs.globus.org/globus-connect-personal/firewall-configuration/

This can apply to both local firewall and networking folks at your
institution.

Hopefully that gets you started. However, you are welcome to gather more
data from our troubleshooting guide and create a support ticket with
Globus via:

https://support.globus.org/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thank you!
Robert
