Running Globus Connect Personal as root is not supported

Hello, I'm trying to configure the personal endpoint on a linux container using CLI following the instructions here https://docs.globus.org/how-to/globus-connect-personal-linux/#globus-connect-personal-cli.
When I input the command line "./globusconnectpersonal -setup 224532bb-8a4b-4d32-8995-e1fb442be98e", I got an error message saying "Running Globus Connect Personal as root is not supported". Could anybody help how to solve this issue?
