Hi all,

I'm trying to install globus-connect-erver and am running into issues. It seems globus-usage has been obsoleted by globus-common, but globus-common does not provide libglobus_usage.so.0 which prevents a yum install from working. I had a test endpoint working a couple weeks ago, so I went back and checked my history and at that time I was using globus-usage-4.5-3.el7+gt6 and globus-common-17.4-1.el7+gt6 from the Globus-Toolkit-6-Stable repository. Now, it appears these packages are upgraded to version 5 and provided in epel, with the problems I mentioned.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it on the package repository maintainers side?

Thanks,
Jacob Chappell

Hi Joe,

Thanks very much for the reply. I did have yum-plugin-priorities installed, but I was using a yum installroot and it also needed to be installed in the parent. This fixed everything.

Thanks again!
