I understand that programmatically we can call “autoactivate” on shared endpoints. Does my gateway code still need to authenticate with that endpoint BEFORE doing the autoactivate call?

Hi Mona,

No, shared endpoints can be autoactivated (successfully) without any prior interaction.

However, the Host Endpoint for a share must be activated before the share can be created -- because that host activation is the basis for shared endpoint creation.
