Install GridFTP for testing, and later Globus Server

Hi everyone, we just installed new data transfer nodes and I want to do some GridFTP tests to the ESnet Data Transfer Nodes mentioned here: https://fasterdata.es.net/data-transfer-tools/gridftp/

Is the install guide here still the recommended way to install GridFTP? We are in the process of probably going full on with a Globus subscription with all the user tools and access, so I want to make sure if I install GridFTP from the repo it won't make it harder to later install the Globus Connect Server. Thanks.
